21. a) when you design a space, you're necesssarily designing people's behaviour in that space. Architecture is a totalitarian activity. b) people can be responsive to architecture but they shouldn't be subservient to architecture. Architecture, by being responsive to people and subservient to people, might liberate people.
Been questioning a lot of things, hand to hand with the possibly-death-inducing assignment for design D: Honestly, though, one of the best things about the course is that it covers quite some other scope as well, not the least to say philosophy. This one brought me to the definition of culture. And then. The definition of anti-culture. And trust me, there's a hellish lot of awesome bullshit out there.
