'That's what I don't understand. Why do people do that? When they're evaluating potential soul mates, listing little things like a nice smile, a good cook, a smart brain, a sensitive heart. Why don't they speak out the big things? Things like values, or character. What happened to 'my future spouse would be kind to strangers, respectful of others, nurtures patience, possess a healthy sense of self? Has that gone out of fashion, to be replaced with good looks and fantastic financial status? The importance of character has been so blatantly blemished with shallower, pettier forms that pretend to pass off as guarantees for happiness and love. They're not.'
