A: The more I grow up, the more I begin to understand why my parents did they things they did. I rebelled too much, because I wanted to figure things out on my own. I didn't realise I was only considering the immediate aftermaths of my actions, how it would affect me there and then, as opposed to some time later, you know?
B: Exactly. Adults have the advantage to advise us because they see the long term consequences. They have the experience to support their decisions, which you don't, or didn't, have. It's normal. It's the learning process. Things have a different weight when you're 31 and 13. What you believe matters so much now, might not even be considered later.
