You spend days going through the motions until one day you realise that you've made that choice - the choice to decide that this is your life. You've accepted that you're this person in this house, in these clothes, with your circle of people, with that daily job or classes to attend. Somewhere along the way, five or two or ten years ago, somewhere after you had quit school or college, picked a neighbourhood to settle into, selected your favourite places to frequent - you made all those life choices. You've closed off some avenues, opened new doors, and took paths that have built your existence. You'll realise that at one point there is not turning back to certain junctions and reclaiming your past. Here you are, in the now. The best part is - with enough courage, dream, and hope - there are still a plethora of events and choices down the road, that will make all these past choices amazing and worthwhile.
I am suddenly struck by the realisation that my life is now significantly altered.
