Funnily enough at this juncture in time, the simplest of acts feels weighted by consequence. A direct question of New Year plans has made me ponder the correlation of my actions with regards to my future trajectory. Do I stay in Malaysia, save whatever money I have, and ring the new decade with my loved ones? Familiar, uncomplicated, cherished. Or do I drop the ball, jump on the flight to Hong Kong and welcome 2020 with foreign aplomb? Risky, adventurous, probably exhausting.
