I used to perceive it as a thread in an expansive carpet.
That we start at one end, and go through as a singular strand to the other. All possible choices of our fate are spread in the carpet's intricate pattern, seen and known only by the Great One from above. It made sense to perceive the term 'He Knows All, but You have Free Will', in the sense that only He knows All of what could happen, the whole rug, whereas we only see the path that we choose. We weave a path in that tapestry made up of our own decisions, and finish our story in one of the knots of our eventualities. All options and ends are Known, but only one ribbon has been lived by our consciousness.
Somewhere in the past few years I've begun to understand it more as a universe.
That we are one singular point in a cosmic entity, a web of lights and connections. It came from the awareness that perhaps the conceptual carpets are layered upon each other, affected by time and willpower. The beams of our life paths intermingle, buzzing with options and events, our vibrations affecting every other element in that web, even if infinitesimally. A movements from someone in Africa in 1960 is still rippling and affecting my day. The overall mass is this intricate, dynamic galaxy of souls, and essentially what the universe and atomic space looks like as we know it.
whichever path in a that tapestry. A ribbon limited in its singularity, but able to weave through
because the lay of the land can be seen from His vantage, but as the person on the ground, you only understand your view. And a ribbon limited in iThe way a bird's eye view can perceive the whole land, but not for the person traversing through it.
