This is when it hits me. In the dry afternoon Madinah heat, right after zohor prayers. I was late, having spent time handwashing some of my garments back at the hotel, and had quickly jumped into a place in the praying area just outside the Nabawi building, under those famous umbrella shades. As I was reciting my duas I looked around and realised that I was in a place where my prayers could actually be answered, the holy land, and the tears just cracked across my face. I let it flow.
